Keynote Speakers

Amadeo Benavent-Climent
Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain
Amadeo Benavent-Climent is a Full Professor of Earthquake Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, and leads the research group on Seismic Engineering: Soil and Structural Dynamics. His research focuses on energy-based seismic design, the seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete structures, and advanced energy dissipation systems. He has made important contributions to the development of energy-based design methodologies and the seismic assessment and retrofitting of existing structures, promoting innovative approaches to improving structural performance and earthquake resistance.

Roberto Gentile
University College London, United Kingdom
Roberto Gentile is an Associate Professor in the Department of Risk and Disaster Reduction at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom, and co-director of the DE|RISC Lab. His research focuses on seismic vulnerability assessment of existing structures, including reinforced concrete buildings and bridges, as well as catastrophe risk modelling and multi-hazard risk assessment. He investigates earthquake-induced structural damage and losses and methods for improving the seismic resilience of the built environment. His work supports risk-informed approaches to structural assessment and disaster risk reduction.

Ahmet Anıl Dindar
Gebze Technical University, Turkey
Ahmet Anıl Dindar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Structural Engineering at Gebze Technical University, Turkey, and Vice Director of the GTU-MARTEST Research and Training Laboratory. He is also an Executive Member of the European Seismological Commission (ESC). His research focuses on energy-based seismic design, seismic performance assessment, structural health monitoring, and the nonlinear behaviour of reinforced concrete structures. He also works on strong-motion observations and sensor-based monitoring. His research combines analytical, numerical, and experimental approaches to improve structural assessment and seismic resilience.
